How should I prepare my team for BinMaster system installation?

We suggest copying this email and sending it to your IT people, maintenance, operations and others involved with bulk material storage at your facility.

Subject: Please help prepare for our new BinMaster inventory management system

Hello team!

We are going to install some BinMaster sensors and network devices to automate bulk material measurement and to prevent ladder climbing. We just need a little help to get prepared for the installation.

FIREWALL RULES (for IT)
We need to open some ports to allow sensors to deliver data to our system. Please review and implement the rules here: https://support.binmaster.com/hc/en-us/articles/37076957021588-BinCloud-Firewall-Rules

VESSEL DIMENSIONS

In order to properly measure our bulk material, the inventory software will need dimensions of the vessels. Please fill this form to check out what measurements are needed and provide measurements for each vessel: https://www.cognitoforms.com/BinMaster/BinCloudSetupForLocalOperators

GATEWAY LOCATION

This is the network device which will receive the sensor data. Please plan the optimal location for this device and plug it in before sensor installation. We’ll want to use it to test power and communication for the installer (it’ll save time later).

ADDRESSES

Sensors may have stickers to show their address (HART or MODBUS). We’ll want to document those addresses as well as serial numbers. Pictures of each sensor label(s) might save some time here. BinMaster says that every address must be unique, so if you suspect we will have two No. 1 addresses on site, please let me know right away.

INSTALLER

Let’s get manuals into the hands of our installer before they arrive. Here’s the document site: https://www.binmaster.com/documents.html?product_list_mode=list

Thanks everyone for your help with this installation prep. It’s going to be a great asset when we have this inventory system up and running.
