Name: Chiyu, BF-430, TCP/IP adapter
Purpose: Converts TCP/IP packets into RS-485 communication protocol and RS-485 protocol to TCP/IP packets
Power: This device comes with a power supply unit that is plugged into any 115VAC outlet
Connections: Ethernet cable – Is connected via the RJ45 port in the lower left of the below photo, while the other end
of the Ethernet cable is plugged into a network connected router or switch
485 (+) - Is connected to all Modbus communication devices positive terminals marked “D0(+)”
485 (-) - Is connected to all Modbus communication devices negative terminals marked “D1(-)”
Common issues: The 232 switch is set to 232 instead of 485, this changes the communications protocol and renders the
device inoperable with the other devices in this guide
